Kolkata : Cristiano Ronaldo revealed being felt “betrayed” by Manchester United, claiming that manager Erik Ten Hag and other senior executives are trying to force him out of the club .
The 2nd stint of the Portuguese legend has been quiet controversial since Ten Hag took charge this year. Last month, Ten Hag said Ronaldo refused to come on as a substitute against Tottenham Hotspur and then walked down the tunnel with a few minutes remaining & wasn’t part of the squad against Chelsea following this. He was even absent against Fulham, in Manchester United’s last match before World Cup break.

I don’t have respect for him because he doesn’t show respect for me,” Ronaldo said of Ten Hag in an interview on Sunday. “Not only the coach but another two or three guys around the club. I felt betrayed.
“Yes, I felt betrayed and I felt like some people don’t want me here, not only this year but last year too “, said Ronaldo when asked if the senior club executives are trying to oust him.
Ronaldo said Manchester United did not support him when his daughter was taken to hospital in July.

Despite his 24 goals in all competitions last season, United endured a terrible campaign as they finished sixth in the Premier League and failed to qualify for the Champions League.
After these revelations, it’s hard to see how Cristiano Ronaldo return to the playing field for Manchester United.
For no focus on the World Cup, and win it for Portugal, and then come back and resolve things with Manchester United.
