Kolkata: Manchester City FC won the Manchester derby that was conducted in the FA Cup final and came triumphant. Manchester City won the English double with winning the Premier League earlier this season.
Ilkay Gundogan took 12 seconds to open the scoreboard for Manchester Cit, this became the fastest ever FA Cup final goals. Later on, Bruno Fernandes found the equaliser with a controversial VAR decision.
However, Gundogan scored six minutes past the break to seal the victory for Manchester City. Manchester City won the FA Cup after 4 years. They are enroute to win the Treble, if they bear Inter Milan in the Champions League final next week.
“It was (is) the first time to talk about the treble. Against United it was special for our city and our fans. We performed really well. Now tomorrow they are off, they have two days off, the players have recovery for themselves and then we have three or four training sessions to prepare for Inter Milan. ” said Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola.
