Barcelona: Barcelona continued their incredible run in La Liga with the 11th win in the last 12 games owing to a 4-1 victory over Huesca at Camp Nou. Barça cut Atlético Madrid’s lead to just four points to make this title race more interesting.

The Catalans were in complete control throughout the first half, dominating possession and played with back three, and the Huesca defense particularly did not cause much trouble either.

Lionel Messi opened the scoring with a beauty curling into the top corner that bounced off the crossbar twice before going on 13 minutes, and next it was Antoine Griezmann who scored a screamer from outside the box, much like the one of Leo on 35 minutes.

Barça were ready to go into halftime with a deserved two-goal lead, but the referees gave a controversial penalty to Huesca. Rafa Mir couldn’t reach a cross inside the box, and after the ball was gone, with barely a touch by Marc-André ter Stegen, he went down in the area. He stepped up and scored the only goal for his team during the first-half added time.

Óscar Mingueza scored early in the second half, a beautiful header from Messi’s cross on 53 minutes and made things more comfortable for Barcelona. During the final 20 minutes, Huesca tried to attack with their all but lacked quality and Barça were more than happy to sit back and defend their goal. Messi scored his brace on 90 minutes, again from outside the box.
