Milan: A mouthwatering Serie A clash between Juventus and Napoli got abandoned as Napoli failed to turn up at the Allianz stadium in Turin following reports of positive COVID-19 cases with the players being told to stay at home.
With the Serie A authorities refusing to call the game off, Juventus turned up at the stadium an hour before the kick-off with their starting XI being announced officially and turning on the floodlights. But Napoli refused to make the trip to Turin. After a regulation wait of 45mins, the officials called off the game with Juventus being handed a 3-0 over the side from Naples.
Napoli gave an announcement on their social media about the news following a report of 19 players being tested after a match between Napoli and Genoa.
