Kolkata : On Thursday, the Islanders sign Argentine forward Jorge Pereyra Diaz for upcoming ISL 2022-23 season. Mumbai City FC confirms the signing yesterday while they have already agreed the deal a month ago. Argentine Striker had a great last season with the Kerala Blasters, scoring 9 goals in the whole ISL and helped his team to reach the final.

Failing to qualify to the semi finals last season, Mumbai City FC is now on a mission to grab the title for the second time. They have already rope in Greg Stewart and Alberto Noguera for this season. Pereyra’s inclusion can make the side more flexible in attack for the coach Des Buckingham’s squad.
Where as, the defending champion Jamshedpur FC signs two time I-League Champion goalkeeper Rakshit Dagar to their squad ahead of ISL. The Red Miners also rope in midfielder Sheikh Sahil to their squad till 2025.

I aim to thrive with the guidance of the gaffer Aidy Boothroyd, along with the experienced players in the squad. Young players have done really well with Jamshedpur and it’s the perfect place for me to be there and show my mettle. I want to be part of the starting eleven and contribute to wins.”
