Goa: SC East Bengal head Jose Manuel Diaz parted ways with the team due to personal reasons. He along with his deputy Angel Puebla Garcia left the Red and Gold army. Assistant coach of the team Renedy Singh took in charge as interim head coach as the former Indian captain is ready to put into some action.

Club CEO Col. Shivaji Samaddar said, “We thank Jose and Angel for their contribution and support to the team in the ongoing season. I wish both of them all the best for their future endeavours.”

On the other side, the Red and Gold army faced another major blow as Antonio Perosevic received a five-match ban by AIFF DC. Perosevic had been charged by the All India Football Federation (AIFF) Disciplinary Committee with a five-match ban and a fine of Rs 1 Lac. He had been fined for his ‘violent conduct towards match official’ during the game against NorthEast United FC.

Following the terms of the decision passed by the Disciplinary Committee of AIFF, Perosevic has been warned that a repeat violation of the act may land him with more severe punishment. Perosevic and the Red and Gold have a ten-day if they wish to appeal. Perosevic has already served his automatic one-match suspension following the red card so he will be available for selection against Hyderabad FC on January 24, 2022.
SC East Bengal will take on Bengaluru FC on January 4 at the Athletic Stadium in Bambolim.
