After a tight start UAE opened the scoreline with a goal from Alblooshi in 26th minute, and this was doubled in 33rd minute by Sultan Adil. The victory of UAE was ensured after the 64th minute goal by Khalfan. This ensured India’s exit from the tournament.
The Indian side finished at the bottom of Group G, with 2 defeats against China PR and UAE, whereas UAE topped the same group.
