Mumbai: Impressed by Sunrisers Hyderabad’s young pacer Umran Malik’s skills, former England captain Michael Vaughan has made a big prediction.

He predicted that the young pacer will soon be playing international cricket. Vaughan has also advised BCCI that he should be sent to play some county cricket to help him develop his skills in future.

Malik made his IPL debut last year during the UAE leg, and had immediately left an impression by troubling established batters with his pace. The 22 year old may be yet to produce a match-winning performance for his IPL franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad but he surely has managed to catch everyone’s attention with his raw pace. The young fast bowler clocked a 151.03 km/hr delivery in IPL 2021,
and has shown the ability to consistently bowl in the 90mphs region.

“Umran Malik will play for India very soon….. If I was the @BCCI I would be sending him to play some County cricket this summer to help him develop first though,” the former England batter Tweeted.

So far, the right-arm pacer has scalped three wickets in IPL 2022, but given his express pace with the ball, Malik is surely a prominent contender to play for team India near future.
Many cricket experts have said in the past that Umran needs proper guidance and nurturing.

In SRH’s last encounter against Gujrat Titans Malik scalped the crucial wicket of Australian wicketkeeper-batter Matthew Wade, as the left-handed batter was caught right in front of the wicket. Malik finished his four-over spell after spending 39 runs and scalping one wicket.
