IPL 2021: Rajasthan Royals go for uphill task against Royal Challengers Bangalore

Dubai: Rajasthan Royals will take on Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Wednesday (September 29). Sanju Samson’s side after suffering a 7 wicket defeat at the hands of Chennai Super Kings in the last game are now reeling at seventh. The skipper himself was the lone warrior in that game and apart from him the middle didnt do much which is a concern for Rajasthan with their chances for qualifying for the play-offs still in contention if they win all-the games from now which is an uphill task considering their current form. The Absence of Jofra Archer meant Mustafizur Rahman had to step up in the death overs while Evin Lewis’s addition is a blessing for them.

Bangalore on the hand, will come into this game after a moral boosting win over Mumbai Indians in the last game. Virat Kohli and Glenn Maxwell scored fifties to take RCB to 165 before Harshal Patel(4/17) who got a hattrick and Yuzvendra Chahal powered the side to a 54 run victory. The return in form of both the RCB skipper and Maxwell is good sign given the side’s chances to qualify for the play-off although another star AB De Villiers is yet to deliver something since the resumption of the tournament in UAE.
