Mumbai: After Ben Stokes and Jofra Archer, Rajasthan Royals (RR) were handed another major blow as Liam Livingstone has pulled out of the Indian Premier League and flew back home on Monday due to bio-bubble fatigue, the franchise confirmed.

“Liam Livingstone has flown back home late last night, due to bubble fatigue accumulated over the past year. We understand and respect his decision, and will continue supporting him in any way we can,” Rajasthan Royals wrote on Twitter.

Livingstone was bought by the Rajasthan in the IPL 2021 auction at his base price of Rs 75 lakh. The English batsman did not feature in any of the three matches Rajasthan played in IPL 2021.

Royals started their tournament with a loss to Punjab Kings before bouncing back against Delhi Capitals. They suffered a 45-run defeat against Chennai Super Kings on Monday. The franchise will next face off against Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore on Thursday (April 22).
