Indian team show confidence before their World Cup qualifiers campaign

Doha : Indian National Team, who are currently stationed in Doha are about to play their FIFA World Cup qualifiers and AFC Asian Cup qualifiers in the upcoming days. They will face Qatar on June 3rd followed by Bangladesh on June 7th and then Afghanistan on June 15th.

The Indian team is currently sitting in fourth position in their group (Group E), the 2022 World Cup berth is out if grasp but they are still in the race for the 2023 Asian Cup place that is to be played in China.

The Indian skipper, Sunil Chhetri said that would make the most out of the circumstances. The team is optimistic of a good show in spite of Covid-19 interrupting their preparations. The captain has been backed by other star players of the team too.

Sandesh Jhingan said that the confidence in their squad is quite high. They have showcased their ability earlier and is quite determined to follow the same path. He showed confidence on his team and talked of moving forward together.

Gurpreet Singh Sandhu also came forward and stated the inconvenience faced by them during their preparations due to the pandemic but was quite confident of moving into the qualifiers.
