What changes Antonio Conte can bring to Manchester United

Manchester: Manchester United head boss Ole Gunner Solskjaer is on the brink of losing his job, and former Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has emerged as the candidate to take over at Old Trafford after his successful Serie A with Inter Milan the preceding season.

Lest Conte takes over at Old Trafford, looking back at his Premier League campaign with Chelsea in the 2016-17 season as well as his recent with Inter Milan, it can be anticipated that the team would go through a lot of changes.

Midfield has always been Conte’s priority, and previously he has had N’Golo Kante in Chelsea and Nico Barella and Marcelo Brozovic in Inter. Although Pogba is very pivotal as a midfielder it’s still questionable if he could match his compatriot Kante’s work rate. However, a very promising Scott Mc Tominay might find his big break under Conte.

As for defense, which has been the biggest problem for United this season, Conte might change it to four men rather than three as often used by Ole. Aaron Wan Bissaka might be selected as a right-back with Luke Shaw at the left. Raphael Varane might find himself as a starter but others might feel a little left out.

Conte was credited with the revival of the careers of Diego Costa in Chelsea and Romelu Lukaku in Inter Milan, scoring 20 and 24 goals respectively. The pair shared some similarities and one of them was their willingness to be the focal point for their side which is vehemently present in Cristiano Ronaldo even at the age of 36.

Conte might bring up good changes in Manchester United, however, Ole is still likely to stay at least for the next three matches against Tottenham, Manchester City, and Arsenal.
