New Delhi: The Indian football team have dropped a spot in the latest FIFA Rankings going down from 108 to 109. The Sunil Chhetri-led side have been holding the 108th spot since November last year to July this year but the latest ranking has made the side drop by a spot.

India haven’t played a single match since November 2019 when they lost 0-1 against Oman. The COVID-19 crisis has made a critical impact as matches of FIFA World Cup 2022 Qualifiers have been postponed till 2021. The match against Asian Champions Qatar was scheduled in October this year but has been postponed indefinitely.

Belgium hold the top spot followed by France, Brazil and England respectively. Croatia and Uruguay lost their place in top-10, whereas Portugal (5th) and Spain (7th) are back in the top-10 list.
