Hanuma Vihari, Abhimanyu Easwaran, Baba Aparajith to play in Dhaka Premier Cricket League 2022

New Delhi: India’s Test specialist Hanuma Vihari and Bengal skipper Abhimanyu Easwaran are among the 7 players from the country who will be playing their commerce on the Dhaka Premier League 2022, which is organized by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB).

Vihari will play for the team Abahani Limited. However, he will miss the first three games of the season for Abahani Limited and Afghanistan batter Najibullah Zadran has been signed for those three matches as a replacement for the Hyderabad batter.

While Easwaran, who has been with the Indian Test side as a reserve player on an overseas tour, will play for team Prime Bank. “It gives me an opportunity to play more games and face different types of quality bowling attack,” Abhimanyu said.

Along with Vihari and Easwaran, J&K off-spinner Parvez Rasool will feature for Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi. Rajasthan all-rounder Ashok Menaria will represent Khelaghar, Baba Aparajith, Chirag Jani will turn up for Legends of Rupganj, and Gurinder Singh will play for Gazi Group Cricketers in the 11-team tournament of the 2022 edition of the DPL.

The 2022 edition of the Dhaka Premier League (DPL) will be held from March 15 to April 28.
The tournament will be played in a round-robin format with all 11 teams taking on each other once. After which, the top six teams will advance to the next stage, which is the Super League. Those six teams will face each other once before moving to the knockouts.
