Goa: With third and fourth place up for grabs, FC Goa will take on Odisha FC on Wednesday in the Indian Super League. It’s a must-win match for Gaurs to be in the race of top four with NorthEast United FC and Hyderabad FC who are sitting on 26 and 27 points respectively in the points table.

With a last-minute draw in their last match Chennaiyin FC, the Gaurs would be focused to not make any kind of mistake against Odisha and end the match on the winning side. Captain Edu Bedia has been under the radar for the ‘biting incident’ in the last match but still, he hasn’t been charged for anything from the AIFF.

“We have some injuries,” FC Goa coach Juan Ferrando said. “But I’m not scared because we have a very good squad. The problem is that we only had two days to prepare. But about the players, I am not upset because we have a very good squad and everybody can help the team.”

Goa has the knack of coming back into the match after conceding a goal, they have earned the most number points from being going down by a goal. “At this moment, our mentality is to continue working,” said Ferrando. “It is not possible to change more details. I hope these draws in the future will be wins.”

On the other hand, Odisha has been in a place where they have been losing match to match they have in a poor run of form since the beginning of the ISL and couldn’t recover themselves from the bottom spot of the league table.

In the pre-match press conference coach Gerald Peyton said, “I’m going to stay with the facts. Goa are a good passing team. I know how they will play against us. I know their tactics. Without giving tactics away, we will play a certain way. It’s going to be important that we start straight from the off.”
