Goa: Chennaiyin FC will take on FC Goa on Saturday at the GMC Stadium in Bambolim. With the third and fourth spot up for grabs, this match would be one of the most interesting matches of this season of Indian Super League.

Chennaiyin would be disappointed with their performance against Jamshedpur FC, which they lost from an own goal in the last minute. But they would be confident with the result of the match when these two teams met before in the first leg at the Fatorda. They won the game 2-1, it’s been one of the three victories which they have earned this season.

Coach Csaba Laszlo would be looking for something extra against Goa because it’s their last hope to make it to the play-offs this season. “We had a big chance to win against Jamshedpur. They had just one shot on target but unfortunately we conceded an own goal and lost a game at the last minute. This is very painful because we had good chances to score and win the game,” said Laszlo.

He further added, “But we have to take it how it is and we have to concentrate on the next three games. It is most important that we go out against Goa and play for the club and show that we are still a good team.”

Goa on the other hand would be aiming to secure the third spot from Hyderabad by winning their remaining games of the season. With a 3-3 draw in their last match against Mumbai City FC the Gaurs would be confident facing Chennaiyin on Saturday.

Coach Juan Ferrando would be confident facing Chennaiyin as his team has responded time and time again. With Igor Angulo, Jorge Ortiz linking well he would be happy with his scorers. Even young Ishan Pandita has been chipping with important goals so the coach would be very certain about his team’s performance.

“This team is working hard in training and in matches,” he said. “The most important thing is, they have a strong personality and they want to win all the time. I’m very happy because when the score isn’t good or when we are in a difficult moment, they keep going and display a strong mentality,” Juan said.

He further added, “I remember in the first game against Chennaiyin, we had only two days to prepare. The team was tired. Now the players may be tired but the mentality is totally different. We are more prepared. Sometimes we get it wrong in transitions but it is better in the last few games.”
