EPL: Chelsea to feature in Clash of Titans

London: Chelsea’s reputation as title contentders will be put to test once more, as Thomas Tuchel’s side host defending Champions Manchester City at the Stamford Bridge on the sixth match day of Premier League . The weekend will also see Tottenham Hotspurs and Arsenal locking horns in a must win North London Derby for both sides .

Chelsea have been dominatingly undefeated and have bagged all the the three points in four matches out of five played so far, drawing against Liverpool and they would hope to keep the momentum with a victory over Manchester City. While the opponents had a real shaky start to the campaign , with a loss against Tottenham Hotspurs and their recent underwhelming draw against Southampton. The Citizens will be desperate for a win , while Blue would aim for an unbeaten run in the league to keep a hold of the top spot being closely followed by Liverpool.

Later the same day Liverpool will be paying a visit to the ‘Bees’ at Brentford Community Stadium. While they are favourites to win the tie, Brentford can cause evidently cause upsets, their opening win against Arsenal was a prime evidence of that.

Later this weekend, a highly contested North London Derby stays in waiting for the football world as Nuno Espirito Santo’s Tottenham travel to Emirates to hosted to by Arsenal. Arsenal have just returned to winning ways , in the last two encounters while their opponents had a good start to the tournament with a three consecutive wins but started faltering against Patrick Viera’s Crystal Palace and Chelsea with identical 3-0 scoreline. Both the sides will be blazing all guns out to have a favourable outcome off this tie.

Manchester United’s woes came to be exposed as the side who had a hard earned victory over West Ham last week , was rendered out by the same team in the Carabao Cup. Their match against Aston Villa will be a much needed tie to win to boost the team morale while Aston Villa custodian , Emiliano Martinez will have to be prepared, as Talisman Cristiano Ronaldo will be putting his reputation to test for quite a number of times.


In other matches of the week, the Leciester City will be hosting Burnley whole Norwich City will be traveling to Goodison Park to pay a visit to Everton. Leeds United and Southampton will be taking on West Ham and Wolverhampton Wanderers respectively.
