Bristol : Australia defeated England by 49 runs in a rain curtailed encounter. Travis Head’s 4/28 helped Aussies clinch 5 Match ODI Series 3-2.
England Batting 1st started off with quick fire run flow with the help of Ben Duckett (107) & Phil Salt (45). Harry Brook (72) too played handy knock in the middle.
However, Travis Head turned out special with Ball picking up 4-fer. England were pushed to backfoot, however, Adil Rashid’s (36) cameo brought them to 309.
Australia in reply smashed English bowlers all over the park with quick fire innings of Matthew Short (58) , Travis Head (31).
Skipper Steve Smith (36*) & Josh Inglis (28*) too held the 2nd half of the innings, however, rain intervened and Australians were found 49 runs ahead after 20.4 over, scoring 165 runs, thereby winning the series 3-2.
Head was adjourned the Man of The Match as well as Man of The Series for his heroics.
