Kolkata : Few days East Bengal club faced a ban on signing players, when former player Johny Acosta lodged a complaint against the Kolkata based club for the non-payment of their salary. A player can approach FIFA for any such case and it is acted upon immediate but the ban us lifted immediately when the due payments are cleared.

During the on going transfer window, the ban hampered the transfer of the season. But according recent reports, Debarata Sarkar told the media, that the due payments of world cup player Acosta was cleared.

During the second session under Quess, Acosta had almost 10 lakh rupees payment outstanding, and reportedly the entire amount has been cleared by East Bengal club. The ban on the club is about to be lifted, and finally for some good news for the fans.

But the deadlock between the investors and the club things made more complex for East Bengal unlike their fellow ISL club Kerala Blasters who also faced the same ban. Yet the officials of East Bengal are refusing to sign the binding agreement with the investors. On the other hand, it looks like finally the ban is about to be lifted by FIFA and the committee is also discussing about the condition of Carlos Nodar and Colado.
