Kolkata: Emami East Bengal FC have signed 24 year old Australian midfielder Jordan O’Doherty and 18 year old Indian winger Himanshu Jangra.
Jordan joins Emami East Bengal on a free transfer after making 18 appearances for Newcastle Jets in the 2021-22 A-League season in Australia. Jordan is a former Australia U23 player and will also be among the youngest foreigners in the 2022-23 ISL.
Himanshu Jangra joins Emami East Bengal on a loan from Delhi FC. Earlier he helped India win the under-20 SAFF Championship this month. He scored three goals in 5 matches. The Haryanvi teenager has also represented India at U15 and U17 level. In 2021 he became the second Indian footballer to be included in the Guardian’s 60 Next Generation Players from around the world.
