Kolkata/Imphal : The first game will be at Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan (VYBK), Sunil Chhetri led Bengaluru FC (BFC), clash against defending champions FC Goa (FCG). In the later part of the day, Indian Super League (ISL) champions Hyderabad FC (HFC) take on local side Neroca FC (NFC), at the Khuman Lampak Stadium in Imphal.

The Blues likely to take over defending Champion

Bengaluru FC are in a better position with two wins from two matches and a point from today’s will secure them. However defending champions FC Goa are in bad terms. A win against Bengaluru FC is not sure enough to qualify them in the quarter finals.

With forwards like that of Sunil Chhetri and Roy Krishna, the Blues look strong. The likes of right wing-back Prabir Das, Suresh Wangjam, the home-bred Siva Sakthi and new recruit Faisal Ali have all tasted success making the prospect even more daunting for the likes of Muhammed Nemil and Phrangki Buam, the cornerstones of the Goa side.

The battle of winners

Hyderabad FC and Neroca FC have to book a win to ensure route to the knockout stage. Neroca FC is aware that Hyderabad FC have played like a top side, Neroca have to be at their very best to halt the Nizam’s winning run. Neroca FC with Haokip, Thomyo Shimray and, Tangva Ragui, can do so.

However coach Manolo Marquez of Hyderabad have quality in every position and with Spanish midfielder Borja Herrera controlling play from midfield.
