London: Arsenal played out a goalless stalemate against league-leaders Manchester United at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday. Both the teams created a hell lot of chances but failed to capitalise on those.

Arsenal pressed hard from the onset with Alexander Lacazette and Willian causing all sorts of problems for the United defence. The Red Devils soon after came into light with Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes linking with Marcus Rashford and Edinson Cavani. United came close to score the opener but failed to convert.

In the second half, Arsenal put on a strong challenge against United back four. Lacazette and Nicolas Pepe could have scored as one free-kick by the former banged at the cross-piece and Pepe could have scored one.

United came close with Cavani twice but both of the times the Uruguayan failed to find the back of the net. Mikel Arteta would be happy with this draw as his team has performed well without their captain Pierre-Emick Aubameyang.
