Bihar: Cricket Association of Bihar (CAB) secretary Aditya Verma has written to BCCI pleading the Board to take a look at the irregularities happening in the state. He has also stated about the bad condition of the Moin Ul Haq Stadium in Patna which played host to the 1996 ICC World Cup match between Kenya and Zimbabwe and many other games.

In the letter addressed to BCCI president Sourav Ganguly, Verma has accused the newly-elected officials of illegally using the money granted to the state association. “Before leaving the BCCI office the COA grant Rs 10.80 crores to Bihar Cricket Association for the development of infrastructure in Bihar. After getting huge money from the BCCI, the newly elected body of BCA started illegal expenses in the name of cricket,” the letter read, a copy of which is in possession with Sportslight Media.

“Due to money, the fight started between president and secretary of BCA cross all the borderline both groups are sending lots of email to BCCI claimed himself that they are original. President suspended Secretary and Secretary oust President. Very Shocking, being a guardian body, BCCI has no time to interfere in the classic fight of BCA. Earlier, when BCA failed to submit the fair audit report of Rs 50 lakh, BCCI suspended the BCA, but when they are misusing the Rs 10.80 crores grant of BCCI very unfortunate the legend Sourav Ganguly is watching and reading the mail of both parties of Bihar Cricket.”

He has also complained that the players have still not got their match fees. “Players failed to get their match fees, TA DA by the BCA, look the current status of Moinul Haq Stadium, Patna. I want to know from respected officials of BCCI when you people gave justice to talented cricketers of Bihar,” the letter further read.

Verma had earlier requested the BCCI to consider a member from the Board for the chairman post of the International Cricket Council (ICC).
