Remembering ‘Black Mamba’ on his 42nd Birthday

Los Angeles: It’s already been seven months since we lost the all time greatest basketball legend Kobe Bryant. Born on August 23rd (1978) in Philadelphia and partly raised in Italy, Bryant was recognized as the high-school basketball player in the U.S. The son of former NBA player Joe Bryant, Kobe had some great achievements in his lifetime including being the 2008 NBA Most Valuable Player and two-time NBA Finals MVP. He was also an NBA champion for five time and a two time (2008 and 2012) Olympic champion.

The ‘Black Mamba’ spent his whole career with the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA and was declared for the 1996 NBA draft after graduation and was selected by Charlotte Hornets with the 13th overall picks; the Hornets then traded him to the Lakers.

On January 26th,2020 he passed away along with his 13 year old daughter Gianna due to a blunt force trauma sustained from a helicopter crash in Calabasas, California. It would have been his 42nd birthday today on August 23. His fans and followers around the world took to twitter and other social platforms to wish their idol a happy birthday.
