Punjab: Former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh, who retired from all forms of cricket last year, could be back in the domestic circuit early next year. The chances of seeing Yuvraj again play competitive cricket came after he was named in Punjab’s 30-man probable squad for the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 tournament.

The 39-year-old all-rounder Sing had announced his retirement from international cricket and IPL in June last year but was requested by Puneet Bali, the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) secretary, last month to come out of retirement and play for Punjab in all formats.
According to a report in Times of India, Yuvraj has been training for a few days at the PCA Stadium in Mohali. Yuvraj himself has shared a small clip of her batting on social media.

However, there is no clarity whether the swashbuckling left-hander will get to play for Punjab. “We are still awaiting BCCI’s response,” Bali said. Yuvi has participated in the Global T20 League played in Canada after getting NOC from BCCI. The BCCI does not allow active cricketers to participate in foreign T20 leagues. Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 will begin on January 10 and the final of the tournament will be played on January 31.
