Southampton: Once again Rain played a spoilsport as Day four of the World test Championship Final ended without a single ball bowled at Southampton. Earlier, New Zealand was 101/2 at the end of Day three in response to India’s 217 in the first innings.

Kiwis had a great start to their innings, putting their opponent on the backfoot. If weather permits on day five, Kane Williamson and Ross Taylor are on the pitch, likely to resume proceedings against Team India.

After the day four play was abandoned due to rain, Fans were very much disappointed who patiently waiting for the game to start. However, BCCI tweet to the fans and thanked them for showing up in numbers and keeping the momentum high in the stadiums.

Earlier at the end of the day three, Young Indian opener Shubman Gill feels that bad light on day three took away their chance to have a go at Ross Taylor and make further inroads into New Zealand batting. “It (Conway) was a crucial wicket for us and I feel that if we would have been able to bowl a few overs to Ross Taylor, we might have been able to get couple of more wickets. We would have a slight edge as both batsmen (Taylor and Kane Williamson) are relatively new at the crease,” Gill said during the media conference at the end of day three.
