Dubai: Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) victory on Sunday (November 1) against Rajasthan Royals (RR) was a particular gift for their co-owner Shahrukh Khan because it was a couple of hours earlier than his birthday.

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh turned 55 on Monday. As expected the social media is flooded with heartfelt birthday wishes for King Khan from his fans and colleagues. Recalling their first meeting memories with Shahrukh and favourite iconic SRK dance moves, KKR players too extended their wishes to the King of Bollywood.

“Special wishes from the boys for our main Knight without whom the KKR family is incomplete! Happy birthday, @iamsrk #KKRHaiTaiyaar #Dream11IPL #HappyBirthdaySRK,” KKR captioned a video shared on social media.

“I remember once going to Bali and there were just two things which the auto driver told us — So, you are from India, Shahrukh Khan, Preity Zinta, Veer-Zaara. That’s how famous he is,” said KKR wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik.

Recalling his first meeting with the Baadshah of Bollywood KKR’s West Indian recruit Andre Russell said, “It was a special moment. He was so humble and cool. He was standing beside me and gave me a hug. I am a tough guy but I was blushing.”

“Everybody described him as the Tom Cruise of India. He is actually more exciting than Tom Cruise,” said KKR skipper Eoin Morgan.

“Hazaar saal jiyo,” said spinner Kuldeep Yadav while hoping for more blockbusters from him. “Have a great day,” said New Zealander Lockie Ferguson.

“You still look like you are 21. So, enjoy this and upcoming birthdays as well,” said pacer Pat Cummins. “Keep being yourself. Keep being this amazing human being,” added Russell while doing SRK’s famous “Chammak Challo” dance step.

With their vital win over Rajasthan Royals on Sunday, currently, KKR are at the fourth spot in the points table with 14 points.
