Virat Kohli sends heartwarming wishes to fans on Diwali

Sydney: As the country prepares to celebrate the festival of lights, Indian skipper Virat Kohli posted a video on Twitter to extend his greetings to his fans on Diwali and urged them not to burst crackers and ‘protect the environment’.

Kohli, who is in Australia, took to his social media handle to wish his fans, “Happy Diwali” he captioned the video.

“A very Happy Diwali from me to you and your families. May God bless you with peace, prosperity, and happiness this Diwali. Please remember do not burst crackers. Protect the environment and have fun with your loved ones with a simple Diya and sweets on this auspicious occasion. Take care and God bless you all.” Kohli said in the video.
Virat Kohli is currently in Australia for the upcoming national series.

The much-awaited India-Australia series will kick off on November 27. India will play three ODIs, as many T20Is, and four Test matches. While Kohli will lead the team in all the limited-overs matches, he will captain the side in only the first of four Tests.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has granted Kohli a paternity leave and he will return from Australia after the opening Test match, scheduled on December 17 in Adelaide.
