Paul Pogba stars against AC Milan; sends Manchester United through in Europa League

Milan : Paul Pogba scored the winning goal for Manchester United as they march pass AC Milan and qualified for the quarter-final of the UEFA Europa League on a 2-1 aggregate at the San Siro on Thursday.

This match was the match to watch out as two European giants came face to face in a mouth-watering fixture. Milan had the away goal advantage from Old Trafford and were confident to face United in their backyard.

The match started in a slow pace as Milan was trying to play an ultra defensive style of football and tried to hit United on the counter attack. United on the other hand were seeking for one goal to get the advantage to their way.

Marcus Rashford was bit disappointing at the first half and looked a bit out of shape so manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer brought Pogba in place of the Englishman. The World Cup winner was an instant impact with a goal in the 48th minute which won the Reds this tie and helped them to march pass Milan threat.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic came into the match in the second half but the strong United defence stopped all the threat from the Swedish superstar and helped their side to hold on to the 1-0 lead and sum up the tie.
