Paris :Lionel Messi scored his debut goal for Paris Saint Germain against Manchester City as Parc des Princes celebrated their 2-0 victory, with the most awaited debut goal from their star signing. In Portugal, Liverpool thrashed Porto 5-1 at at the Estadio do Dragao.
Despite of having a quiet night Messi scored his debut goal from a moment of sheer brilliance on 74 minutes. Messi played one two with Kylian Mbappe just at the edge of the box and thereafter fired the ball home with an impeccable finish, as the crowd went crazy watching what they have been awaiting from the season start. Messi doubled the scoreline with Idrissa Gana Gueye opening the scoring for the French side.
Moldovan team Sheriff Tiraspol stunned Real Madrid with a 2-1 victory at Santiago Bernabeu. The Los Blancos were left shocked when Sebastien Thill scored a dying minute winner for his team. The scoreline was similar at San Siro, as Atletico Madrid defeated AC Milan 2-1.
Luis Suarez scored a late penalty to hand the defending Spanish Champions all the three points. Borussia Dortmund scraped a 1-0 win over Sporting CP. As for the Belgian side, Club Brugge registered a 2-1 away victory against RB Leipzig, equaling points with PSG.
