Manchester : Manchester United, Frenkie De Jong and Barcelona have been looking for negotiations for months as Erik ten Hag is hopeful to reunite with his former Ajax player at Old Trafford. The two clubs have agreed in terms for the midfielder about a month ago. Since then, little progress has been made due to a legal complication surrounding money allegedly owed to the Dutch player from the Spanish club.

After Manchester United and Juventus agreed for transfer of Adrien Rabiot, it appeared that the club had an alternative plan. However, it is still believed that Manchester United are still interested to go for the 25-year-old. The market for De Jong is obviously competitive and Manchester United have to get creative.
