Bengaluru: Olympics is such a stage that one needs to stay calm during some critical point, think fairly and make decisions. That’s what Indian women’s hockey forward Navneet Kaur felt team India need to find ways for.

To avoid confusion between the players on game day, it very important for the players to be clear about their roles in the pitch. A single wrong pass can incapacitate the plan. So the team needs to make sure that they are not having too many unforced errors on the pitch during the matches at the Tokyo Olympics.

“The coach is ensuring that every player is aware of their roles and can execute their plans so that they can coordinate well on the pitch in the match,” added Kaur. The Tokyo Olympics is surely to be a big challenge for the team, so they have to play at their absolute best to gather good results.

India are well equipped with the ability and techniques to face the best teams in the world. High-intensity training sessions during practice stimulates the understanding of match situations.

Kaur said that India are quite confident about their abilities and just thinking about the execution of the plans in a proper way on the gameday. Being assertive Kaur said, “If we play to our potential, we will surely do very well in Tokyo.”
