New Delhi: The second phase of the IPL 2021 is only a few days away, and the excitement around the T20 tournament is at an all-time high. Now the official broadcaster of the T20 league Star Sports has also unveiled a star-studded commentary panel for the season. Earlier Star Sports has already released a promo for the opening game.
Through Twitter, Star Sports announced the names of its commentary team. Sunil Gavaskar, Ian Bishop, and Harsha Bhogle are among the veteran commentators in the English commentary crew, including Kevin Pietersen.

Former cricketers Irfan Pathan, Gautam Gambhir, Akash Chopra, Jatin Sapru, and Kiran More are among the Hindi commentary team. However, Sanjay Manjrekar, who was part of Sony Network‘s panel, has not been included in its commentary team this year. Apart from English, Hindi, Star Sports has kept a commentary team for other languages too.

The T20 extravaganza is scheduled to take place in the UAE between September 19 to October 15. The qualifiers will begin on October 10 and the final is set to be played on October 15 in Dubai. The UAE will host the remaining 31 matches. In all 31 matches, 13 matches will be held in Dubai, 10 in Sharjah, and 8 in Abu Dhabi.
The season will kick start with Rohit Sharma-led Mumbai Indians (MI) taking on MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the Dubai International cricket stadium.
