Kolkata: Former India captain and current BCCI president Sourav Ganguly’s elder brother Snehasish has been hospitalised late Friday night after he complained of uneasiness.

Snehashish, who holds the Cricket Association of Bengal’s (CAB) secretary’s position, had undergone angioplasty in January and as a precautionary measure was taken to the hospital.

“He started feeling uncomfortable on Friday evening and keeping in mind the fact that he had an angioplasty done a while back, it was felt best to get him admitted to the hospital and keep him under observation. Around 1 am he was taken to the Woodlands hospital as he also had a fever. He is doing fine now and there is nothing to worry about,” a source was quoted as saying to ANI.

Snehashish has represented Bengal in Ranji Trophy playing in 59 first-class matches scoring 2534 runs. He also scored 275 runs in 18 List A matches. Sourav is currently in England attending India’s second Test match at Lord’s.
