Kolkata: Young exciting talent Sheikh Sahil has signed a three-year contract with ATK Mohun Bagan on Monday. The 18-year-old midfielder had a prolific season with Mohun Bagan last year under the guidance of manager Kibu Vicuna. He was like a rock in the midfield with Fran Gonzalez and played a significant role in their title-winning campaign.

After the merger, the speculations were high that ATK Mohun Bagan would sign this young and exciting midfielder for the upcoming season. Now it’s all true. ATKMB manager Antonio Lopez Habas was excited about this player and he knows that Sahil can produce heroics in their upcoming campaigns.

Sahil who just passed his standard XI examination this year is quite excited to play in this newly formed side for the next three years. He knows it will be difficult to get opportunities among the big names, but is confident.

“It is an honour to be given the opportunity to represent my boyhood club and Kolkata in India’s top football competition, I am very excited to play for ATK Mohun Bagan FC,” he said. Sahil can be a huge prospect for his club and country and was very highly rated by the experts last season. He is a versatile player and a huge profit for the future.
