Barcelona: Barcelona and Argentina forward Sergio Aguero might have his career cut short and have to unwantedly hang his boots following his medical condition.

The 33-year old forward left the pitch with discomfort in his chest and troubled breathing while his team was playing the La Liga game against Deportivo Alves. Joining the Catalan club this very season itself from Manchester City, Aguero made his first proper appearance in the El Clasico , followed by the one in Alaves which was unfortunately cut short as he was rushed to hospital.

The club said after he underwent heart tests that Aguero would be “unavailable for selection and during the next three months the effectiveness of treatment will be evaluated to determine his recovery process.”

Catalunya Radio however reported on Friday that Aguero would never play again “due to a serious heart problem.”

However, the player denied all the rumours of him retiring via his social media handle on Twitter.

Always positive,” said Aguero. “There are rumours going around but I’m following the club doctor’s opinion and we’ll see how I am in 90 days.”

Hence, the proper news of Aguero’s future is yet to be unfolded and all can be done is to hope that he gets back on the field soon enough, because as the player has always claimed, it has been his dream to play for the Catalan club.
