Manchester: A couple of strikes from both the defenders Ruben Dias and John Stones helped Manchester City beat West Ham United 2-1 in the Premier League. While Michail Antonio netted one for the visitors, Pep Guardiola’s men remained at the top of the table after 90 minutes at the City of Manchester Satdium on Saturday (February 27).
The hosts were the obvious dominator of the game from the start seeing much of the ball. Dias opened the scoring for the league leaders heading it after Kevin De Bruyne arrowed one into the box for him.
Antonio’s equaliser just before halftime brought West Ham back to the game. The visitors pushed in the second-half showing great intensity but were unable to finish off chances.
Stones got the winner for the City smashing it home after Riyad Mahrez squared-off one for him sealing the deal for his side.
