Starting their innings from 81-2 , Saurashtra’s opener Harvik Desai looked promising, scoring 50 in quick succession. Bengal pacers – Mukesh Kumar & Ishan Porel quickly removed Desai & Chetan Sakariya, the night watchman respectively in no time. This marked the arrival of keeper Sheldon Jackson & Arpit Vasavada, who looked rock solid in the middle, taking away all the pressure away from Saurashtra…. with a partnership of 95 runs, Sheldon Jackson departed off Ishan Porel’s bouncer, ending a heroic knock. Arpit continued to torture Bengal bowlers, along with all rounder Chirag Jani who added 57*(100) , bringing signs of tension on Bengal’s Bowlers’ faces.
