Paris : Indian Badminton saw a bright day on Paris Olympics 2024 Day 5 as all of the Badminton players – PV Sindhu, Lakshya Sen, HS Prannoy emerged victorious and moved to Round of 16.

On other hand, Table Tennis team saw heartbreaking exits as Manika Batra & Sreeja Akula got knocked out from Round of 16 after showing remarkable fights.

Nishant Dev is now 1 more win away to touch medal glory after going to quarter finals & more actions followed.

Here’s the Day 5 Summary of India in Paris Olympics 2024 :

Archery:

-Deepika Kumari through to Round of 16 in women’s individual archery after beating Reena Parnat in round of 64 and Quinty Roeffen in round of 32.

-Tarundeep Rai loses 6-4 to Great Britain’s Tom Hall in men’s individual archery round of 64.

Boxing

-Lovlina Borgohain beat Estonia’s Sunniva Hofstad in women’s 75kg round of 16, through to quarterfinals.

-Nishant Dev beat Jose Gabriel Rodriguez Tenorio in the men’s 71kg round of 16, through to quarterfinals.

Shooting:

-Swapnil Kusale finishes seventh in men’s 50m rifle 3 position, through to final

-Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar finishes 11th in in men’s 50m rifle 3 position, knocked out

-Shreyasi Singh and Rajeshwari Kumari finish 23rd and 22nd respectively in Day 2 of women’s trap qualification.

Badminton:

-PV Sindhu beat Kristin Kuuba 21-5, 21-10 win women’s singles group stage match, qualified for round of 16

-Lakshya Sen beat Jonatan Christie 21-18, 21-12 in men’s singles group stage, qualified for round of 16

-HS Prannoy beat Le Duc Phat 16-21, 21-11, 21-12 in men’s singles group stage, through to round of 16

Table tennis:

-Sreeja Akula beats Jian Zeng 4-2, through to women’s singles round of 16

-Manika Batra loses 4-1 to Miu Hirano in women’s singles round of 16

-Sreeja Akula loses 0-4 to China’s Sun Yingsha in women’s singles round of 16

Equestrian:

-Anush Agarwalla, out in men’s dressage with score of 66.444 with his partner Sir Caramello Old.
