Rawalpindi : Pakistan defeated England by 9 wickets at Rawalpindi in 3rd Test and clinched the series 2-1. This is 1st Test Series win for Pakistan at home since 2021. Noman Ali and Sajid Khan picked up 19 wickets between themselves and played key role in Pakistan’s historic feat.
Batting 1st, Ben Duckett (52), Zak Crawley (29) gave England a good start with 56 runs partnership.
Despite middle order seeing a fumble with 118-6 , Jamie Smith (89) & Gus Atkinson (39) put on 107 runs partnership.
Yet again, the innings collapsed and the English innings got bundled out on 267 runs.
Sajid Khan (6/128) & Noman Ali (3/88) paved way for English collapse.
Coming to Bat, Pakistan replied with 344 runs.
Despite flop show from top order, Saud Shakeel (134) , lower order Batters Noman Ali (45) & Sajid Khan (48*) added vital runs.
English spinners Rehan Ahmed (4/66) & Shoaib Bashir (3/129) starred in their bowling unit.
England, coming to Bat in 2nd innings, experienced a horror show in front of the duo of Sajid (4/69) and Noman (6/42) , as the whole Batting crumbled to 112 runs, with only 35 runs lead.
Pakistan chased down the total easily in 3.1 overs with quick fire innings by captain Shan Masood (23*).
Saud Shakeel was adjourned the Player of the Match, while Sajid the Player of the Series.
