Dubai: The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) fans were in for a treat on Wednesday as Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan paid a surprise visit during their match against Rajasthan Royals (RR) on Wednesday (September 30).

After KKR defeated Rajasthan by 37 runs, legendary Sachin Tendulkar praised the purple and gold brigade for their brilliant performance. Taking his twitter Sachin wrote, “Important knock by @RealShubmanGill who played some good shots. @Russell12A’s brief cameo & good finish by @Eoin16 got @KKRiders to a decent score. Terrific bowling performance as well. Bowling changes were spot on & the team balance looked good, & a fantastic catch by the athletic Nagarkoti. @TC59’s 54 towards the end got @rajasthanroyals to a respectable total.”

Retweeting Sachin’s congratulatory tweet King Khan gave an amazing response. He said
now anything he would say would become meaningless as the ‘great man’ has already spoken. “Now anything I would say about @KKRiders & the boys will mean nothing. The great man has spoken. Just so happy to see all in the team propping up the youngsters & making it count. Love you boys ‘lots of pyaar from a little afar,” Shah Rukh tweeted.

Unlike previous years, Shah Rukh was seen with son Aryan and wife Gauri on the stands, a rare sight. With the win over Rajasthan, KKR rose to the second spot in the points table. The Dinesh Karthik-led team will next face Delhi Capitals on October 3 in Sharjah.
