Paris: America’s Sebastian Korda who lost to Spanish player Rafael Nadal in the French Open’s fourth round by 6-1, 6-1, 6-2 on Sunday (October 4), calls the result to be ‘super awesome’ or ‘definitely the best moment of my life’. It was a very rare moment when Korda went up to the guy who just beat him in the game, for an autographed t-shirt.
“Ever since I was a kid, I mean, I was in love with him and everything about him. I would watch every single match. Doesn’t matter who he was playing or what tournament he was playing. He was the guy for me,” said Korda, whose cat is named after the world No.2.
Korda asked for Nadal’s autograph after the match and Rafa put some effort on it.

The 213th ranked Korda was the youngest American man to make it to the fourth round in Paris since 1991. “It was an unbelievable moment for me and I couldn’t have written it any better,” he said.
“Gave me a belief that I can keep up with him on the clay,” Korda said. “The first game was massive for me. Unfortunately, I couldn’t close it. He almost hit an around-the-net forehand,” said the 20-year-old.
