Kolkata : As per multiple reports, IPL’s Mumbai Indians (MI) franchise owned by Ambani family is set to bid for stake of English league The Hundred franchise London Spirits, renaming it to MI London.
ECB is keen to attract Indian investments in the franchises of Hundred as a small stake will give them “huge influence”.
As per the report, all 10 franchises are expected to bid with the London Spirit franchise expected to “attract bids worth several times more than many of the other franchises”.
Mumbai Indians, owned by Ambani family own many franchises in global leagues like MI Cape Town, MI New York, MI Emirates. Now, reportedly, they’re forerunners to associate with London Spirits in The Hundred.
It is also reported that Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals are looking to invest in Northern Super Chargers and Southern Braves respectively.
