Goa: Mumbai City FC continued their domination in the Indian Super League, as they beat Hyderabad FC 2-0 on Sunday, at Tilak Maidan, in Vasco. For the Islanders, Vignesh Dakshinamurty and Adam La Fondre scored the goals.

It was an important match for both sides as both the teams wanted to win for definite reasons. For Hyderabad, it was to continue with their unbeaten run and for Mumbai, it was to maintain their top spot.

The match started with a promise as both the teams were attacking from the first minute. Hyderabad looked sharp in the first 10 minutes of the match, but Mumbai took charge of the situation after that. Vignesh opened the scoring for the Islanders in the 38th minute and went 1-0 up into the first half.

In the second half, their English talisman La Fondre extended the lead in the 59th minute, thus making sure they stay at the top till their next game. Sergio Lobera will be delighted with the performance of his side.

They missed out on Hugo Boumous during the pre-match warm-up and were forced to substitute him, still, they played in such a dominating fashion that other teams have to seriously consider them as out and out favourites in the league.
