Manchester : Mohamed Salah ran riot at Old Trafford, his hattrick helped Liverpool secure a thumping 5-0 victory over arch rivals Manchester United on Sunday ( October 24).

It was Bruno Fernandes who came close to open the netting for Manchester but shot it over the crossbar. And afterwards the tables were completely turn on them as by the end of the second the Red Devils were four goals down.

Naby Keita opened the scoring for Jurgen Klopp’s men soon afterwards Diogo Jota and Salah also found the net. The pressure kept mounting on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who is under continuous scrutiny followed by a series of underwhelming performances from his team.

Salah completed his hattrick after the match restarted in the second half. Manchester United looked completely disjointed and were rendered down to ten men when Paul Pogba was shown a red card on 60 minutes.

A goal from Cristiano Ronaldo was ruled out by VAR for offside. The numerical disadvantage crippled chances of United scoring as the scoreline stayed at five goals to none.

“I think it is great to win 5-0 here, we knew before the game it would be tough if we did not play our game,” Salah told post game.

“We knew they will come and try to give everything, so we had to give 100%.We just tried to play our football and play in between the lines to create more chances. We did that and were lucky to score. As long as the team keep winning I am happy and to give my best to the team to win.”
