Liverpool started well dominating possession on the ball but it was Fulham in the first few minutes who were creating a few chances with striker Ivan Cavaliero being a constant threat on the defence. Fulham counter pressed high up in the pitch knowing the fact that how good Liverpool turn up the heat while attacking.

Eventually the home side took the lead courtesy Bobby De Cordova-Reid who drilled it hard past goalkeeper Alisson after the Liverpool defence failed to clear the ball off a corner.

In the second half though, the defending champions looked desperate for an equaliser and were stringing passes in very good fashion but wasn’t somehow getting that finishing touch as the Fulham defender were keeping their formidable attacking trio silent.

Finally the chance came, when Wijnaldum’r free-kick got deflected off the hand of Aboubakar Kamara in the box resulting in a penalty which Salah converted comfortably salvaging point for the Reds who missed out a good chance to get to the top of the table while Fulham got two point clear of the relegation zone.
