Kolkata : Leading from the front, Mita Paul scored a brilliant unbeaten 89 off 60 balls to power Lux Shyam Kolkata Tigers to a comfortable seven-wicket victory over Sobisco Smashers Malda in the women’s competition of the Bengal Pro T20 League Season 2 at the JU, 2nd Campus, Salt Lake on Monday.
Enroute her match-winning knock, Mita struck 14 fours and one six to single-handedly take Kolkata Tigers to victory.
Put into bat, Sobisco Smashers Malda managed to post 140/5 in 20 overs, thanks to Shrabani Paul (55 off 44), Sukanya Parida (31 off 23), Hrishita Basu (23 off 13).
Salma Khatoon was the pick of the Kolkata Tigers bowlers bagging 2 for 28.
In reply, Lux Shyam Kolkata Tigers went over the line comfortably, scoring 141/3 in 18.2 overs. Ankita Mahato also scored a fine 26.
Riya Kr Mahato, Nandini Biswas and Jhumia Khatun bagged a wicket each for Malda.
