Barcelona: Lionel Messi’s Manchester City move might be all in reality. According to reports the 33 year old Argentine has agreed on a five year contract deal with the English club.

The amount will be € 700 million and Messi has been offered an equity stake from the City football group, within five years, three years would be in Manchester and two years under their MLS club New York City FC.

On the other hand, Frankie De Jong, Barcelona’s young midfielder claimed that Lionel Messi still belong to the Whatsapp group created by the Barcelona management. Even he believes that Messi might not leave Barca and would be the part of the new era under Dutch manager Ronald Koeman.

De Jong stated that “I hope that Messi is still there when I get back, but that is not something that is up to me. He’s still in the group chat. I’m not anyone to talk about it with him, I’m sure he has many people around him doing that these days.”

The Dutchman moved to Catalonia last season, after breaking into the Ajax team two seasons back. He had a good first season compared to other players in Barcelona. This season under his former national team manager Ronald Koeman he might get a more dynamic role in the Barca midfield, as the team is going through a new build up.
