Manchester: Following a constant string of disappointing performances from the Red Devils based on Ole Gunner Solskjaer’s decisions , that garnered criticism from the gaffer Sir Alex Ferguson has put Ole’s job at risks , and Zinedine Zidane is reportedly being eyed to replace the Manchester United boss.

With three consecutive winless encounters and players like Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba speaking out openly about the need of changes in the game play, it is far more than evidently that Ole’s day are number. Both Zidane and Antonio Conte were rumoured to be the shortlisted , however according to El Chiringuito TV, Manchester United officials contacted Zidane following a recommendation from talisman Cristiano Ronaldo himself.

Assessing the squad depth and talent, the former Real Madrid manager seemed to be the greatest fit. He had previously worked with the likes of Raphael Varane and Ronaldo and has even won three consecutive Champions League with them. The French man was rumoured to be the reason Pogba was eyeing a move to Spain.

Although Ole had rubbished all the criticisms , inflicting belief in his tactics , Gary Neville had a different approach to the problems of Ole , who had started the season great but faltered as progressed. Addressing to the Manchester United issues, Neville said,

“So the problems that Ole has got at the moment is Ronaldo coming means it’s make or break. You have to win with Ronaldo, you have to win a trophy. He’s not coming here not to win a trophy and be second, third and fourth.”

Addition of Ronaldo had bolstered the squad , and Ronaldo started the season with great highs, however he failed to score in the last three encounters with the limited minutes he was given which angered not only him but also gaffer Sir Alex who was heard saying Ole should start with his best players during Manchester United’ s draw against Everton.

However Ole has a more difficult job coming up with facing Liverpool, Tottenham , Arsenal and Manchester City next although his days at the English club seems numbered.
