London : Manchester City inched to the brink of a third Premier League title in the last four seasons as Sergio Aguero set it on the way to a 2-0 victory at Crystal Palace on Saturday. (May 1)
Aguero’s stunning half-volley finish just before the hour mark broke Palace’s defence line and the 32-year-old Argentine, in the final weeks of his City career gave his team the lead. Benjamin Mendy’s pass was picked up by him and with a superb first touch even better second touch he thrashed the ball past Guaita without breaking stride.

“It was a long time that I hadn’t played 90 minutes,” Aguero told the BBC.
“The goal was good because maybe we can win the Premier League. We wait for tomorrow. Every game is difficult. Of course, if Liverpool win it’s better,” he added.
Chelsea are looking to end the season in spectacular style as Kai Havertz scored a brace against Fulham in their 2-0 win.
Two goals from Havertz moved Chelsea closer to securing a top-four Premier League finish, as well as it moved Fulham closer to relegation. “It was the perfect match for us and the boys get a lot of credit from the coach because it would have been easy to get confused between two very big games,” said Thomas Tuchel. “Now we can arrive for the next game with clear minds and nothing to regret.
